Service

Service in our communities is a passion of mine.
Being involved with youth organizations and giving back to programs that have helped our family, has lead me to form some amazing relationships and strengthened my faith and purpose.

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. -Mahatma Gandhi

Certified Personal Trainer

I have always been passionate about living an active lifestyle, but I didn’t always make the best choices to reflect that. Six years ago, I started taking the steps to change that. It started with daily activity and learning to take time for myself and has now grown into a part-time career. I enjoy helping other women and moms learn to take time for themselves through physical activity, mindful eating and nutrition, and creating a positive mindset.

I began leading workouts in area parks in 2016 and in the fall of 2018 I became certified as a personal trainer. Now I partner my passion with the knowledge I need to help others lead healthier lives.

I have been a part of this organization as a site-director since 2018 and believe in the power of this mission - improving the self-esteem of adolescent girls through empowerment of self and service to others.

Miles for Max

This 5K memorial fundraiser is held annually to honor and remember our son, Max, as well as the lives of other children who have been lost to premature birth, still birth, or infant death.

Max was born prematurely in May 2011 and as a way to help with our grief process, we started running. In the fall of 2011, through gentle encouragement from a very dear friend, we started Miles for Max.

All proceeds from our event are given to the Haven Midwest a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope, healing, and support to parents who have endured the tremendous loss of a child.

Youth Basketball Programming

In 2020, along with my husband Adam, we started a youth basketball program for girls at our elementary school. Over the years, we have received support from our local sports boosters program and Richland Head Girls Basketball Coach, Olivia Johnson to offer a more comprehensive skills program for our youth.
